A video has been circulating on social media of BN’s Malaysian Kulai candidate Chua Jian Boon asking hawkers to support him during a vote call or will “revoke license” (Lesen Tarik). Chua also clarified the video regarding threatening the hawkers, saying the PN Election Committee said it.

The video, which is 26 seconds long, shows a man suddenly said in a loud voice, “Vote blue, Lesen Tarik, if you don’t do it,” as Chua was paying a visit to the morning market.

The video then went viral and generated a lot of buzzes. Chua Jian Boon posted a video on Facebook to clarify that he was greeting people at the time, but a representative from the PN Election Committee suddenly appeared and said, “revoke the license”.

Chua said they were also surprised and asked the other party to make a statement and clarification the incident. Otherwise, they will consult with the legal team and take the next step. He also said that the video has seriously affected his reputation.
