Details of the shooting were confirmed to occur around 1:15 p.m. by Los Angeles police. However, PnB Rock was not identified as a victim and referred reporters to the coroner’s office, which did not respond to a request for comment immediately.

PnB Rock’s death is confirmed by his label, Atlantic Records on Tuesday morning, calling it a ” senseless loss” in an Instagram post. They also called PnB Rock a good friend and “a great father to two beautiful little girls.” A representative for the rapper confirmed the claim.

TMZ first reported the shooting. A graphic video taken at the scene reportedly shows PnB Rock lying in a pool of blood on the restaurant floor.

Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles extends its condolences to the Allen family and wrote on Facebook, “The safety of our employees and guests is our top priority. We have and will continue to ensure our premises are as safe as possible.”

Los Angeles Police Department spokesman Officer Jeff Lee said the suspect brandished a gun and demanded items from the victim. The verbal exchange ended when the suspect shot the rapper multiple times.

The suspect took some items from the victim and fled in a car waiting in the parking lot, Lee said. No one else was injured in the shooting, and the victim was pronounced dead at the hospital.
