A 22-second video went viral on social media. The video was taken by Malay man filming a car with the windows down and asking the young Malaysian couple inside what they were doing. The man replied that the young girl next to him was sick.
The young couple involved in the car sex incident were taken to the Johor Bahru Magistrate's Court this morning (April 7) to apply for an extension of detention, which was granted for two days.

The young couple involved is a 22-year-old man and a 17-year-old woman. Police also seized a second-hand red Axia and a red and white T-shirt.
The video was released and sparked much debate among netizens, most of whom condemned the man for possible rape charges because the woman was underage. Some also criticized the young couple involved for their inappropriate behavior in public.
The police are investigating the case by invoking section 377D of the Criminal Code (whether it is an act of indecent exposure such as nudity in a public or private place). They could be sentenced to no more than two years in prison if convicted.
