Perodua Chief Executive Officer and CEO of Perodua, Datuk Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad, revealed at the “Vision 2023” press conference that they are looking for ways to address cost issues to combat inflation.

He said that although the price of the new Axia has increased, it is not due to the increase in raw material prices; instead, they have added new features and safety equipment to the new Axia. The price of Perodua's existing cars will remain unchanged.

The price of raw materials used in the manufacture of cars will stop rising this year and may start to stabilize in the middle of the year as the economy recovers, Abidin predicted.
