Jung Joong Ji, a theatre performer who also participated in “Produce 101″‘s second season, committed suicide. He recently celebrated his 30th birthday.
The mother of the late Joong Ji revealed the sad information. She uploaded a picture of herself clutching his obituary. “Joong Ji, my son, committed suicide. In her post, Joong Ji's mother confessed, “I can't even put into words how I feel right now.
Joong Ji tragically departed unexpectedly on September 9th, just 4 days after he turned 30 years old, according to the late actor's mother. His sister reportedly blogged about her brother's passing, according to WikiTree. Not long after that, she changed her Instagram account's privacy settings. The funeral took place on November 11 at 9:00 KST (8am local time zone).
As we previously noted, the late Joong Ji rose to stardom after taking part in “Produce 101” season 2 in 2017, when he placed 64th overall. He began his career as a theatre performer after his debut on the infamous survival show. He appeared in a few plays, including “Prison” and “Essence of Love.” At the 2017 Hallyu Selection Organizing Committee Awards, he also took home the actor category's Hallyu Star Award.
